The Blue Bowl Inn
The family run Blue Bowl Inn is everything you could want from a traditional West Country pub. A stone built 18th century building in the heart of the Chew Valley, Somerset, next to the Chew Valley Lake at the foot of the Mendip Hills, both are areas of outstanding natural beauty.
We are also a great place to stay, our Bed and Breakfast Accommodation has 4 en suite bedrooms. Open 7 days a week the Kitchen offers good home cooked pub food serving a large restaurant, two bar areas and the beer garden, with a traditional country pub roast with all the trimmings every Sunday. Butcombe Bitter is available all year round with changing guest ales, all of our Real Ales have a Cask Marque Award, for the Excellence in the service of cask ale.
Overlooking the Chew Valley, the hamlet of Stanton Wick provides a tranquil and picturesque setting for the delightful Carpenter's Arms. Converted from a row of charming miners' cottages, the Inn has become a popular retreat over the years for those appreciating good food, fine wines, real ales and delightful en-suite accommodation.
The Queen Adelaide
The Queen Adelaide is a traditional country pub overlooking Blagdon Lake. It is run by Dave Green, who is a Fly Fishing Instructor and guide who has been fishing on Blagdon and Chew Valley lakes since 1992.
The pub now offers accommodation and can sleep up to six persons. We offer bed, breakfast and evening meals in a cosy pub environment. Guests have exclusive use of our roof terrace overlooking Butcombe Bay. Fishing packages, consisting of guided fishing on Blagdon or Chew Valley lake, accommodation, breakfast, packed lunch and evening meal are available.
We have fishing tackle for hire and have a selection of flies available to purchase (tied by Dave himself). So whether you would like a complete fishing package or wish to come and sample our Fishermen’s Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner when visiting this beautiful area we would be delighted to see you. The Pig Sty

The Pig Sty is a detached 2-bedroom cottage, renovated in 2018, is situated in the owner’s magnificent grounds, with outstanding views over the Mendips and The Chew Valley Lakes. You even have your own private walk down to the lake which is 400 yards away.
This is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and it is right on your doorstep. The Pig Sty has fast WiFi, a log-burner, and the usual mod-cons. The property also has a Michelin star restaurant under a mile away, where people visit from all around to sample the delicious dishes and local ales that are on offer.

Ring O Bells
The Ring O Bells is a traditional country pub located in the pretty village of Compton Martin, North Somerset, which is listed in the Domesday Book.
The village sits in the heart of the Chew Valley, surrounded by undulating hills, churches and apple orchards which provides some of Somersets finest ciders. Situated at the foothills of the Mendips it is an area of outstanding natural beauty.
We have two very comfortable and spacious en-suite bedrooms, with television, DVD and WIFI. Both rooms have a selection of Pukka Teas & coffee to suit any mood. The Tallet - Woodbarn Farm Cottages
The Tallet is a first floor self contained apartment in our barn conversion at Woodbarn Farm Denny Lane Chew Magna. It has two bedrooms and bathrooms, sitting room and fully equipped kitchen. It is available for short breaks and full weeks.
We are 1/4 mile from the picnic area and Salt and Malt and 2 miles from Woodford Lodge.
