have you seen the happy faces pictured in our most recent posts? See the fantastic fish that are being caught? Well take note, fishing at the lakes is only possible are our waters if everyone plays their part during this challenging time.
We wont hide from issues that crop up, our overwhelming objective is to provide SAFE and enjoyable fishing. If we cannot provide the safe element, we simply will not offer fishing.
We don't want to get snotty but it is so very frustrating when some of the very basic requests are being ignored. We appreciate that the majority of anglers are sensible but sadly there are still the few who are jeopardizing your fishing at the lakes.
Over the weekend, we have had at least four instances where access gates have been left unlocked and open. Whilst this may seem relatively small in comparison to the number of anglers who have closed and locked gates, it is simply not acceptable.
Our team take a very dim view on gates being left open, we appreciate that there is a potential transmission risk associated with opening and closing gates and to mitigate we advise using hand sanitizer or gloves. Its important to understand that the transmission risk to you, is far greater if gates are left open.
Ask yourself this, do you want to be surrounded by people who stray onto company property whilst fishing putting your safety at jeopardy? It's so very important that gates are closed and locked when visiting our waters. Please do your bit by locking gates behind you.
It's incredibly frustrating for our team and we feel that leaving gates open undermines all of the efforts made in recent weeks to get our waters back open for you. PLEASE do your part and LOCK GATES BEHIND YOU.
Sadly, if we start to find gates left open on a more regular basis we will simply have no choice but to close the fishery for all. It's your choice. We will not jeopardize the safety of our customers or your families for the sake of a days fishing. The combination for locks will be given to you when you complete an online ticket purchase. Check your e-ticket.
Sorry to rant but we do not take this issue lightly and want to nip it in the bud now. We are all in a privileged position as anglers. Don't ruin it for one another.
Please fish responsibly,
BW Lakeside team
